'Dancing With the Stars' Season 35 Week 4 recap: Mariah Carey Night sees breakthroughs and surprise elimination

Dancing With the Stars Season 35 reached its fourth week on Tuesday, with the remaining contestants performing to songs by Mariah Carey as the competition became increasingly challenging.
The episode featured several notable improvements, with Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas earning the highest score of the night at 25 out of 30 for their waltz to “If It’s Over”.
Derek Hough praised Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach’s rumba to “Anytime You Need a Friend”, which scored 24.
Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson also scored 24 for their tango to “It’s Like That”, while Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy earned the same score for their rumba to “My All”.
Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess showed improvement with their foxtrot to “#Beautiful”, receiving 21 points.
Other performances included Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik’s jazz routine to “Fantasy”, Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa’s Viennese waltz to “Vision of Love”, and Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov’s rumba to “Hero”.
Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson received the lowest score of the night, with 15 points for their samba to “Obsessed”. Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold scored 19, while Tatyana Ali received 20.
Despite the competitive field, Ciara Miller and Brandon Armstrong were eliminated. The result came after Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart left the competition the previous week.
Dancing With the Stars returns next week for Super Bowl Night, live on ABC and Disney+ on Tuesdays at 8pm ET / 7pm CT
