Busted: Rangers detain over a dozen suspects

Pakistan Rangers, Sindh, claimed to have apprehended over a dozen suspects during ongoing targeted operations and raids in the metropolis on Saturday.


The Rangers conducted an overnight targeted operation in Ghausia Colony near Central Jail. Sources said that a large cache of explosives and weapons was seized from a house. The occupants were digging the ground inside the house. The paramilitary personnel added that four suspects were also apprehended and later shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning. Their affiliations with any group or party have yet to be disclosed.

Meanwhile, four alleged gang members from Lyari were arrested during a targeted raid by the Rangers in Memon Goth in the city's outskirts. According to a Rangers spokesperson, the raid was conducted on the basis of a tip-off. He added that weapons were also seized from the suspects, who were taken to an undisclosed location.

Separately, the Rangers also conducted a targeted operation in the Quaidabad area, taking five alleged criminals into custody. A Rangers spokesperson said that they also confiscated weapons from the suspects' possession.
