Shootout near Quetta: Two criminals killed, four others injured

Injured include Levies and Anti Terrorist Force personnel.

QUETTA: Two wanted criminals were killed and four others were injured in a shootout at Killi Malezai in district Pishin on Monday.

The injured also include Levies and Anti Terrorist Force (ATF) personnel.

Acting on a tip-off, the Levis and ATF personnel collaboratively conducted an operation, Balochistan Levies constable Abdul Samad told The Express Tribune.

Samad said the criminals opened fire on the security personnel, who then retaliated. Resultantly, two of the wanted men were killed and two others sustained injuries, he said.

The deceased and injured were taken to the nearby hospital.

The deceased were identified as Muzafar and his nephew Hasmatullah, who were wanted in many cases in Pishin.

The two injured were identified as ATF official Hayatullah and Balochistan Levies personnel Najeebullah.

The Balochistan Levies registered a case and investigation is underway.
